Get to know Katie a little more:

Q: How’d you get started in your business?

A: You could say insurance runs in my family! My grandfather was a life insurance agent, my father has been an insurance agent for 30+ years, and I’ve been in the insurance field for 6 years. After successfully managing a local insurance agency for several of those years, I decided to take the plunge and venture out on my own. It has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my career.

Q: What is your position in this business? (i.e. Founder, Owner, Associate)

A: I am the founder and principal insurance agent of New Oak Insurance Co. I opened the agency amidst the pandemic to help businesses and families through these tough times. Insurance can be a lifesaver in many cases, and that’s why I spend my day making sure my clients have Top Shelf Coverage at happy hour prices.

Q: What’s one thing you’ve learned while working in your field?

A: Life is bizarre and anyone can sue anybody for anything. My clients are often perplexed by the unlikely scenarios I pose, but the corresponding coverage exists for a very good reason.”
